Thank You Winnipeg!

As October is a month of being reminded to give thanks, I thought it was appropriate to have the first Sleepwell blog post be about just that. Sleepwell Bedding was established in 1992 and with the support we’ve received from the Winnipeg community, we have been able to grow for the last 22 years.

The company started as a dream, belonging to my dad. With a young family at home, he couldn’t afford to take the risk of starting a new business on a loan so for 12 years, he opened the store from 9 am - 4 pm and then worked a night labour shift from 5 pm - 1 am. These 15 hour days allowed him to feed his family while still pursuing his dream of opening his own mattress shop. Lead by a man of this example, integrity, work ethic and commitment are the very values our company is built on.

But a business cannot be successful with just these things alone. At Sleepwell Bedding, we believe in our mattresses. And through the overwhelming support we have received from the Winnipeg community, we have seen that you believe in them too. Referrals and repeat customers have continued to be the #1 source of business for our company, even with the ever-expanding competition from big box stores. For this, we would like to thank you.

Now, after completing my business degree at the Asper School of Business and earning my CPA designation, I am thrilled to continue what my parents worked so hard to build. With new blood, comes fresh new ideas to better serve your mattress needs. Checkout our revamped website complete with an online store so you can purchase a mattress in the comfort of your home. Or, if you’re just outside of the city, save yourself the trip - Steinbach, Stonewall, Niverville and Selkirk, we deliver to you!
